About the Artist

My name is Alexa Calvo. I am a married mother of three, living in the south of Germany with my family and our beloved dogs. Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since early childhood, I have had a deep passion for drawing and creative expression, which has accompanied me throughout my life.

In 2009, I discovered the art of reborn dolls by chance—and was instantly captivated. These lifelike art dolls combined so many of the elements I had always loved: realism, fine detail, emotional expression, and the ability to touch people’s hearts through visual art. What began as fascination quickly grew into a deep dedication to this unique and highly specialized form of artistic creation.

Each of my dolls is a one-of-a-kind piece, crafted with the utmost care, artistic vision, and individuality. I see my work not as craft, but as an extension of my lifelong devotion to fine art—an intimate process that combines sculpture, painting, and storytelling. Creating these dolls allows me to channel emotion and precision into tangible, lifelike expressions that resonate with collectors and art lovers around the world.
